Giunti Interactive Labs S.r.l. (GIUNTI Labs), a company of GIUNTI Publishing Group, is leader since over ten years in the eLearning content production for third parties and in the implementation of technological solutions and services for training (Technology Based Learning, TBL). Headquartered in Florence, with its main operating subsidiary in Sestri Levante, the company integrates heterogeneous new media professionals, with a reference of more than 100 projects successfully realised for companies, institutes and national and international universities.
GIUNTI Labs offer covers four main dimensions :
1 · design and development of software architectures,
2 · R&D focused on mobile technologies (e.g. location-based access to contextualised information), smart tags (e.g. RFID), interactive digital television, SCORM-compliant virtual collaborative environments, digital repositories federations and e-Portfolio management systems (IMSeP-compliant),
3 · standards (with active role in ADL SCORM, IMS, ISO and IEEE),
4 · multimedia content production, with the objective of conceiving a high quality level of training by means of interoperable contents deliverable through devices available anytime & anywhere.
Considering its business offer and its commitment to the above objectives, GIUNTI Labs has launched on the market (2001) Learn eXact, the first European Learning Content Management System (LCMS), XML native and conforming to eLearning international standards. Thanks to suitable extensions - called eXact Stations and developed by GIUNTI Labs in partnership with companies leader in the Information Technology market - the platform allows a friendly creation and delivery of learning contents through mobile devices (PDA, smart phones, tablet PC), wearable computers and IDTTV.
| Giunti Labs is one of the most important European e-Learning research centre, currently involved in more than 15 projects (see some samples at www.giuntilabs.com/info.php) - co-financed by both the European Commission and the Italian MIUR - with a role focused on the study of advanced e-learning methodologies and technologies (learning objects, mobile learning, blended learning, collaborative virtual worlds, IDTV-based learning), the creation of innovative software architectures, the adoption of new delivery means and addressing educational goals within cultural heritage and governmental environments. |
